Our Father, Father to the Fatherless-Editor /Publisher: After writing an article called Lost Boys on fatherlessness, youth crime and violence for the Toronto Star, that featured an interview with Pastor Bruce Smith, recruited to edit and publish Smith’s biography. Working with Smith and Phil Kershaw, edited and published Smith’s 287 page biography. The biography launched in 2009 and was optioned for the production of a film based on Smith's life.
New African, She Caribbean-Writer/Reporter: Covered the November 2008 election of Barack Obama, the first African American president of the United States. Filed magazine cover feature and news stories for the New African, a London based publication distributed to participants of international conferences concerning Africa, including the African Union Summit and the World Bank. Reached a readership of more than 42 million. Also filed on the election for She Caribbean, the region’s premier women’s magazine.
Walter & Duncan Gordon Foundation-Writer/Editor: wrote and edited profiles of eleven multi-ethnic Canadian global leaders, publicizing the foundation’s Global Citizenship program.
Maytree Foundation- Leaders for Change-Writer/Researcher: Wrote a series of multi-ethnic community leader profiles for the Maytree Foundation. The stories became an integral part of the foundation’s efforts to promote its community leadership education program. Featured on the organization’s website, the series drew positive stakeholder feedback and an initial draw of over 1000 unique visitors.
TVO –Interviewer and Host of series on Lifelong Learning, a Couchiching Conference inspired series that ran in repeats for five years. Interviewed local and international thought leaders including, astronaut Michael McKay, former New Brunswick premier Frank McKenna, author and futurist Don Tapscott.

The first woman of colour in English media to become a television parliamentary correspondent and join the Ottawa press gallery. Recipient of a TVO Telefest journalism award for a story on residential schools and their impact on native youth, plus a B’Nai Brith and Human Rights Commission award nomination for a short documentary on legislation affecting the criminally insane.
International Press Freedom Awards Banquet- Producer/Co-organizer /Writer: Co-chaired and co-organized the Canadian Journalists for Free Expression’s (CJFE) inaugural banquet. Featuring the head of the UN Human Rights Commission and drawing over 600 international and national media personalities, political, corporate and community leaders, the banquet increased the organization’s national and international profile, raising more than $70, 000. Produced the first videos about the CJFE and award recipients. They have been featured at other public venues and remain a part of the organization’s video library.
